The Keyholder and the Architect

No, no, no. The Architect is not supposed to be God. In my thought experiment, I mean. Someone suggested it — like I'm weaving some kind of big picture metaphor.
Nor the Keyholder for that matter. Why is this the instinct.
It's just — it's well,
scaffolding.
Sorry, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, click the 'Stage Door' menu item on my website. Not yet, but when you've finished reading. (Or don't. Up to you.)
If the Architect — or the Keyholder — was meant to be God, there would be all sorts of problems with my thought experiment.
Do I need to list them? Okay, I'll give you three off the top of my head.
One.
This would be a pretty limited and convoluted storyline.
What's the building, then? What's the theatre? Is the Coffee House heaven?
Ugh.
Two.
The whole of my writing would become extremely strange seen in the light of that story.
Ahh… so all along you were trying to suggest that life is like a… Now I see!
Ttt.
Three.
Why don't you just make extra relational space via a derelict building coming to lift that's getting renovated and expanded as we watch and take part as visitors and participants and friendly observers?
Exactly.
That's what I'm doing, really. I think.
Making space not just to think but to address the reader from different angles, and allow for a different kind of engagement. Many different kinds. Imaginative. Creative.
What's that?
Oh. I just heard someone say — But, but, that's weird. That's not Biblical. That's just assuming too much of the reader. Or too little. Why not just say what you're saying?)
My answer?
You may or may not have noticed lately, that life — especially when you slow it down — is more real than we have answers for. And the Bible — especially when you slow it down — seems to be too.
I'm just trying to slow things down.
Introduce some friction — no, not in that way. More in the sense of someone using an old fashioned telephone and dialing the numbers with a forefinger, or grinding coffee instead of spooning in the instant powder. Like actually offering our literacy and imagination some extra camera angles.
If that's not what you're here for, I understand.
I'm just thinking aloud.
