My work grows from ideas that I find vivid, expansive, and endlessly generative.
Through writing, world-building, thought experiments and imaginative projects, I inhabit the questions, tensions and unexpected connections that fascinate me. And I attempt to create forms of accessible 'scaffolding' to engage others so we can explore collaboratively.

What about - reality that exists before we can name it or express it?
BEFORE LANGUAGE
I am exploring Biblical examples, such as Genesis 1, and also higgaion in the Psalms to consider how, even before language, humans are in relationship with God. This has implications for the way we categorise, understand, relate, and even how language itself is formed and operates.
Do we even notice when some kinds of things seem to count and others don't?
SIGNIFICANCE
Data is one example. Doctrine might be another. Not that those things are wrong, but if we depend only on them, we might miss the more nuanced things, the quieter things that are closest to home, and the treasures that aren't relevant to other people's calculations or currencies. How do we all decide what to exclude, and what to prioritise?
What happens when a system designed to help, organise or understand people encounters an actual human being?
WHEN SYSTEMS MEET PEOPLE
I am fascinated by the point at which categories, procedures and structures begin to fail us. My world-building often pushes systems to their logical conclusions, allowing the absurdity—or the humanity—at their edges to become visible.
Is the Bible more than what we have been taught to do with it?
THE BIBLE
The internet can make the Bible feel strangely polarised: what proliferates is often preaching, persuasion, polemic and power-play, and people understandably respond to that. I am interested in what happens when we take the Bible seriously beyond those uses—not simply asking what its stories mean, but following the trajectories it opens, noticing the architecture of its patterns and connections, and exploring what might become possible through a deepening relational intimacy with God.
